Webinars and Connect & Learn Gatherings

At our first Connect & Share Zoom Gathering, aimed at Merton community venue managers and operators, we heard from John Merriman (Crown Lane Studios); Chris Roe (Cranleigh Tennis & Social Club) and Martin Lake (South Wimbledon Community Centre) who shared their respective stories in successfully adapting their venues and operations to Covid19.  Many other venues contributed their experiences and plans for the future which generated an engaging and insightful discussion.  A private link to the recording is available to members.

Re-opening & Build Back Better Webinar

We recently hosted our first webinar for Wimblecomm venue members and partners. The session was developed and facilitated in partnership with Cathy Varley, a consultant from the national charity, Locality.

Thank you to those who attended and shared their experiences to date. It was great seeing so many of you and hearing about your plans for re-opening and the positive action you are already taking in making your buildings Covid19 secure.   A recording of the webinar has been shared with all Wimblecomm members and post webinar support to help answer any questions not covered has been arranged.

Future webinars and web meetings to enable networking and sharing of best practice and resources will be set up over the coming weeks.  We are keen to hear from our members and partners about any specific issues they are facing that they would like support on.  After all, we are ‘all in this together’!
