The Activity Leader will be responsible for developing and delivering our popular Love Later Life programme, which gives older adults in Merton meaningful opportunities to connect, stay healthy and keep active. You will be part of an enthusiastic, caring, dynamic team of staff and volunteers and take responsibility for delivering activities designed to improve health and wellbeing outcomes for older people across Merton’s diverse community. Love Later Life 1. Support the development of and deliver the Love Later Life regular programme of activities, particularly craft, games and social clubs – including bringing new ideas for activities 2. Welcoming new clients to the centre, introducing them to other clients, staff & volunteers 3. Maintaining contact with clients and their support networks by phone and email to support welfare and encourage ongoing engagement with the Love Later Life programme 4. Supporting volunteers to deliver a range of social activities 5. Support the administrative functions of the programme, including collecting, counting and recording income Love to Lunch 1. Ensure that the Centre is set-up each day for Love to Lunch including tables, chairs, cutlery and refreshments 2. Provide rolling support and cover for Love to Lunch where required, including food preparation support, food service and clear up 3. Adhere to food hygiene processes, record completion and undertake training where required.
