Who we are and what data we hold

The Wimbledon Community Association (WCA) is a registered charity, no. 1097305. It operates the website, Wimblecomm which has the aim of bringing together people, places and passions in a variety of community spaces in the London Borough of Merton. It is the Data Controller for all contact details of people who use Wimblecomm i.e. member venue operators, members of the public seeking community space via the website, and any individual who contacts us via the website expressing interest in the charity’s activities. We also hold publicly available contact details for potential member venue operators.

How we will use your data

We’ll use your contact details to provide the service offered by Wimblecomm. Otherwise, we’ll only use your data where we’re allowed to by law eg carrying out an agreement we have with you, because we have a legitimate business interest or where you agree to it. We will not share your details except to provide the service offered by Wimblecomm.

How long we will keep your data

We will keep your data for as long as you have a business relationship with us. After the relationship ends, we’ll keep it where we may need it for our legitimate purposes eg statistical analysis.

Your rights

You have a number of rights relating to your information:
• To see what we hold
• To ask us to update incorrect or incomplete details
• To ask us to delete data we hold
• To ask us to restrict our processing of it

Transferring your information overseas

Your information may be transferred and stored in countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA), including some that may not have laws that provide the same level of protection for personal information.
