Wimbledon Community Association is a local charity which has served its local community for 70 years.  Following the closure of its old community centre in 2012 the replacement trustees have initiated a new beginning for the organisation.

Having successfully set up its new website and brought in a paid staff member to help develop its services the trustees are now looking to expand their number and support the association in its new aim to connect people, places, passions and pastimes.

If you are based in Merton with the time and passion to contribute to your local community, we would be pleased to hear from you.

We are looking for people who are interested in becoming trustees or a co-opted member who just wishes to focus on a specific area.   Our main focus is people with skills and / or experience in website development, social media & community engagement.  Experience in charity constitutions, membership structures, communications and internet marketing would also be helpful.  This is a good opportunity to develop hands-on experience and your CV whilst making a positive contribution to your local community.

But first and foremost, you must have a desire to connect!  For more information on the organisation, the voluntary role of a trustee / co-optee and our recruitment process, please click here: Trustee Co Optee Specification and find out how you can get involved in our dynamic new future.
