Wimbledon Guild’s much-loved Waggy Walk is returning to Wimbledon Common on Saturday 3 October 2026, bringing together families, dog lovers and local supporters for a day of fun, while raising vital funds for the charity.

This year, the event features an exciting new Family Fun Trail, meaning everyone can get involved, whether they have a dog or not.

Families can follow a 4km trail, spotting Waggy’s friends along the way, collecting clues, and uncovering a secret message before heading back to claim their prize.

Dog owners can choose between a picturesque 4km or 7km route across Wimbledon Common, with a free goody bag from luxury pet shop George’s Dog Boutique for every dog taking part.

New for 2026, a professional dog behaviourist and trainer will host a special lunchtime talk packed with practical tips. After a live Q&A, owners and their dogs can join a relaxed community walk across the Common, providing the perfect chance to put advice into practice whilst meeting fellow dog lovers.

All walkers will enjoy refreshments before the walk at the award-winning Hand in Hand pub, as well as treats afterwards, including a drink and artisan sausage roll.

The annual fundraiser, which raises money for Wimbledon Guild’s work supporting local people across Merton, has become a highlight of the local calendar, bringing together dog lovers, families and supporters from across south-west London.

With one free child place available with every adult ticket, the charity hopes the new Family Fun Trail will encourage even more families to enjoy a day out in nature while supporting a local cause.

Early bird discount until the end of August

Early bird tickets cost £14 for an adult with one FREE child ticket available with every adult ticket purchased.

Child (aged 4 to 16) tickets are £4.50 each.

Wendy Pridmore, Chief Executive at Wimbledon Guild, says:

“Waggy Walk has always been about bringing our community together for a great day on Wimbledon Common while supporting local people who need us. This year, we’re especially excited to launch our new Family Fun Trail so that everyone can get involved, whether they have a dog or not.

Every ticket sold helps us continue providing practical and emotional support to people across Merton. We’re looking forward to welcoming families, friends and four-legged companions for another fantastic day on Wimbledon Common.”

Waggy Walk is more than just a day out. By taking part, walkers are helping Wimbledon Guild make sure that no one in Merton has to face life’s challenges alone.

Wimbledon Guild would like to thank the event sponsors whose generous support helps make Waggy Walk possible. This year’s event is proudly sponsored by George’s Dog Boutique, Elys, Wimbledon Quarter, Daniel Archer Property, Borras Construction and Barratt London.
