From 6th – 19th of March, local charity Wimbledon Guild is going to be showcased on the walls of Metronome Coffee and Wine Bar in Morden. The new exhibition will showcase the support available from Wimbledon Guild for people in the local community.
Whether someone is worried about money, feeling low or overwhelmed, or looking to find new friends and activities locally, Wimbledon Guild is there to make sure that they don’t face life’s challenges alone.
From bases in Wimbledon and Morden, the charity provides practical help and support to over 4,000 people every year, many of whom have nowhere else to turn.
Wimbledon Guild is more than just a place, it’s a real community – something it has in common with the exhibition venue, as Metronome owner Tom explains: “Creating a true sense of community in Morden is really important to all of us at Metronome. So being able to help raise awareness of Wimbledon Guild and the support on offer, especially at their WG Morden base, is a great way of celebrating the work that they do.”
This view was echoed by local St Helier Councillor, Shuile Syeda, who said “I was thrilled to hear that the Metronome is once again supporting the work of Wimbledon Guild. These two organisations create the community spirit that makes Merton such a special place. I’m really pleased they are coming together again to do this, and that’s something I will celebrating with them over coffee.”
Wimbledon Guild and Metronome are inviting everyone to drop by, grab a coffee and enjoy the exhibition.
