No Smoking Day 2025 is coming up on March 12. It’s a great time to think about stopping smoking for good. There are lots of benefits to quitting such as lower stress levels, better sleep, more money in your pocket. Plus, you’ll be setter a great example for any young people around you.
If you’re worried about being able to stick to it, don’t be. At One You Merton we offer support and advice along with a choice of stop smoking medications to help with any withdrawal symptoms. We will set the quit date with you and guide you through the whole process. You can also get your carbon monoxide levels tested at one of our appointment clinics.
One You Merton is available for anyone over the age of 12 and anyone who works, lives, studies or has a GP in Merton borough.
Kirsty who used telephone support sessions had tried everything to stop smoking before she came to One You Merton. She has now been smoke free for over two and a half months. Kirsty said “I’ve joined a gym and I’m not coughing as much. I’ve saved money, I also get a lot less chest infections, which used to be a real issue for me before I stopped”.
Fionnuala, who used our Wilson Wellbeing centre clinic said “the support was really, really crucial for me. If I didn’t have the support, I would have talked myself out of stopping. It helped me how to retrain my brain to be able to say: ‘I don’t want this”
When you quit smoking you’ll experience a wealth of benefits including improved lung function, reduced risk of heart disease and cancer, increased energy levels and a longer, healthier life. Join us in making this No smoking Day the day you say goodbye to cigarettes for good!
