The Merton Health and Wellbeing strategy, a partnership between Merton Connected and Public Health, brings together collective knowledge, resources, and leadership to address health inequalities and improve the wellbeing of all Merton residents. This collaboration ensures a joined-up approach that delivers meaningful and measurable outcomes.

Over recent years, this organisation, like many others, has navigated challenges brought about by the pandemic and changes in personnel. During this time, we have taken significant steps to strengthen our governance, improve transparency, and enhance our ability to support members and the wider community. The current board has been central to this progress, and there is more to do, so their continued leadership will enable us to build on these achievements. It is important you contribute.

At the meeting, there will be a vote to approve:

  1. The confirmation the current Board of Trustees, consisting of:
  • Judith Brodie
  • Nigel Lawson
  • Wendy Pridmore
  • Asha Newsum
  • Emma Wiley
  • Jen Goddard
  1. To reduce the organisation’s quorum (the minimum number of members required for decisions to be valid) to three, ensuring meetings can proceed efficiently with the current Board of six trustees.

If community group representatives would like to attend but are unable to, they may still vote on the resolution by completing and returning a proxy form. If you plan to attend in person, you do not need to submit the form.

Further details about the Health and Wellbeing Strategy Meeting on 23 January 2025 at 2.15 pm will follow shortly.

Thank you for your continued engagement and support. Together, we can strengthen Merton’s voluntary and community sector and create a healthier, more equitable future for all.
