Have you heard of the new Kickstart scheme? It’s a fully funded Government scheme to support new jobs for young people on Universal Credit who are at risk of long term unemployment. Merton Chamber are a Gateway organisation and have successfully submitted almost 100 applications, supporting young people work in a wide range of sectors across London and the South East. 

They can work with you to submit your application, liaise with DWP as well as helping provide wraparound support to assist your Kickstarters with their training and development skills. If you are interested, complete their detailed online questionnaire, then subject to eligibility, they will submit your application.

Employers of all sizes, who have been trading for over one year, can apply for funding which covers: 100% of the National Minimum Wage (depending on the age of the participant) for 25 hours per week for a total of 6 months.
