Merton, Morden and Mitcham: past and present
Wednesday 11 November 2020 at 2.00pm
We are pleased to announce an online lecture as part of our activities programme. The instructions to watch via Zoom are given below. There is no charge. The event will last for approximately an hour, including an opportunity to ask questions at the end.
How has your local area altered in recent decades? Can you remember what was there previously, or perhaps you are new to Merton and would like to know more about its past? Using images from Merton Heritage Service, Merton Historical Society and his own photographs, Mick Taylor will show how parts of Merton, Morden and Mitcham have evolved.
Mick has lived in the London Borough of Merton since 1976. With a background in learning and development, he volunteers at the Wandle Industrial Museum and for the Merton Heritage Service. He is also part of the photographic project team with Merton Historical Society.
