We’re opening the Museum a week early this year as out friends the Wombles will be out and about. We will open the museum from 11am – 3pm to kick off the season – and then we’ll be open at weekends for British Summer time until the end of October.
The Wombles Walk is a new fun family trail exploring the Commons and its landmarks, while litter picking along the way. Find all the hidden Wombles and you’ll collect a treat – and have the chance to meet one of the Wombles, in the fur!
Womble Walk 11am – 4pm, start/finish at the Ranger’s Office Home Burrow.
£3 per entry – all proceeds help to care for Wimbledon and Putney Commons, the home of the Wombles!
Collect a Womble activity sheet and follow the trail to find the Wombles markers. Each Womble reveals a letter – which spell the mystery word.
If you want to be more Womble, borrow a litter-picking stick and bag and help keep the Commons tidy as you explore.
Return to the Home Burrow with your completed form to collect a treat!
