This one-hour parent workshop will cover some foundational points of understanding around autism, along with providing practical support for everyday challenges.
Led by Clinical Psychologist Dr Anna Byrne-Smith, the session will cover some of the key traits associated with autism and ways that parents and caregivers can support with these.
We will also discuss the diagnosis of autism, what this means and how the assessment process works.
There will be opportunities for questions and discussion, with a focus on helping parents and caregivers better understand and support their child’s unique needs.
The workshop is suitable for anyone parenting a child with confirmed or suspected autism, or those who would like to find out more.
