The South West London & St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust Summer Street Party, hosted at Springfield Hospital in Tooting, is nearly here!
Join us on Wednesday 10 July from 1pm-3pm in the new Chapel Square at Springfield University Hospital.
The party will mark the 30th birthday of the Trust and will provide an opportunity to celebrate our staff, service users, and local communities. We look forward to seeing you there!
This year to help ensure our patients on our wards have better access to the festivities, we’ll be operating the party with a staggered timeline, with the event open to our communities from 1pm onwards.
The event will feature food from around the world, face painting, free activities, live music, and an information marketplace.
Reminder: access to the street party – please don’t drive!
Parking at the Street Party will be limited – spaces will be prioritised for staff working on the day and the patients and carers getting to their appointments. Please arrange alternative, greener transport to join us at our celebration.
To make our Springfield Village Street Party accessible for our local community, a number of road and access changes will affect access on the 10 July 2024.
- A stretch of Springfield Drive in front of Chapel Square will be closed from 11am-4pm on the day. This includes the spaces with our disabled parking bays. Please see the map below.
- The road along Lapidge Drive will still be operational throughout.
Donate to the South West London Mental Health charity
We hope that you are able to join us in enjoying the event. If you do, please consider donating whatever you feel comfortable giving by making a donation to our Trust Charity. The charity uses donations to directly improve the lives of people with mental illness in South West London – above and beyond what our NHS services provide. In fact, our Charity has places at the coveted London to Brighton bike ride and Vitality 10k run – please do consider signing up to support us!
