‘Objects of Enchantment’ encourages visitors to pause, look closely and consider what happens when a simple object – a teacup, a toy, a chair – is lifted from daily life and placed on a museum plinth or turned into a painting. Artist in Residence Alastair Gordon reinterprets familiar objects, inviting viewers to reflect on what makes something worthy of attention. Alastair is a local artist who creates meticulously detailed paintings. Free entry, all welcome.
