Preparing your child for their 11 Plus is a journey that takes at least twelve, and for many children, up to twenty four months. Our 11 plus weekend classes are available for children who are in Year 4 and Year 5 and follow the school calendar, running for three terms from each September to July.
We believe that children can and should be supported to run their own best race for the 11 Plus. This is the philosophy upon which our weekend school was created and still applies today. Our weekend school supports both Year 4 and Year 5 children ideally for a whole academic year or both years 4 and 5. During that time we focus on three main principles:
Accelerating the National Curriculum by one year to make sure children have been taught every aspect of the 11 plus curriculum
Building up their skills in Maths, English and Reasoning by teaching them the best techniques/methods to work quickly and accurately
Focusing on exam technique, exam practice and most importantly speed!
90% of our children for the past three years have gained entry to their first and second choice schools!
