20 November – Coming to England (PG)
Ten years in the making, this beautiful period piece tells the amazing true story of Baroness Floella Benjamin who came to England as a little girl in the 1950’s and overcame numerous obstacles to become one of the first black presenters on British TV and later a peer.
21 November – Life and Debt (PG)
Set in the Caribbean, this excellent documentary on tourism and the poverty creation programmes of the IMF showcases how the paradise island of Jamaica was turned into a debt-ridden country by US backed institutions and British holidaymakers.
22 November – Lumumba (*NR)
The true story (and template) by Raoul Peck of how revolutionary and caring African leaders who wished to help their people were assassinated by European powers.
