The Bike Project is a small charity dedicated to getting refugees cycling.
We collect unwanted bikes, fix them up and donate them to refugees and asylum seekers. Find out more about our upcoming Community Day where you can get involved and show your support!
Bike Project Community Day
The event will be hosted to celebrate Refugee Week in the Bike Project shop in Colliers Wood @42 Station Rd, London SW19 2LP, calling for people from different backgrounds to stand in solidarity and show support.
Our tagline for this event is “Together We Change” which was chosen by our young Social Action Heroes who are taking part in organising this event.
When?
Saturday 19th June, 11:00 – 15:00
Where?
Let’s meet all together at The Bike Project shop in Colliers Wood (42 Station Rd, London SW19 2LP), we have invited programme participants, staff, freelancers, friends, and supporters.
Why?
The reason we’d like you to join us is because this is a community day where we all meet up to show support and cycle! You will also listen to amazing stories from our Pedal Power Women and Social Action Heroes who will be very happy to see you there and cycle with you!
What else?
There will be music! We will play a playlist that was put together by our recipients and volunteers. And hopefully, there will be a singer too!
At 2pm, we will go all together on a social bike ride from the shop down the Wandle Trail to the park.
It will be amazing if we could all meet up there. It is indeed a great chance for all of us to get to know each other more and do the three things that we all enjoy: cycling, music, and showing support!
