The Booker Shortlisted author will be discussing her new novel 10 Minutes 38 Seconds in this Strange World – an intensely powerful novel about a young woman reflecting onlife after death. Elif is the best-selling author of The Bastard of Istanbul, Three Daughers of Eve and The Forty Rules of Love.
Elif Shafak is a twice TED Global speaker and campaigner on activist on women’s rights, minority rights and freedom of speech. She writes and speaks about a range of issues including the role of the writer, global and cultural politics, the future of Europe, Turkey and the Middle East, democracy and pluralism.
Watertones will be selling books on the night and the event will be followed by a book signing.
