Worple Art Group Spring Exhibition

11-05-2019 10:00 - 17:30
St Mark's Church Wimbledon
Address: St Mark's Pl, Wimbledon, London SW19 7ND, UK

On Saturday 11th May, you can join the Worple Art Group at St Mark’s Church in Wimbledon for their May 2019 Spring exhibition. Last year, Jackie Chapman attended the Spring Exhibition and reiterated how fantastic it was to live in a place teeming with creativity and to be able to talk to the artists in a relaxed setting. Click here for the full review and an insight into what to expect this year.

The Worple Art Group exhibits twice annually, in spring and autumn. On display and for sale are original works, normally about 200 paintings and drawings, by the 20 members of the group and invited guest artists. The group was formed in 1983 and as vacancies occur the membership is maintained by invitation to artists living in Wimbledon area, who have made themselves known to the group. These may be established artists or talented artists with the potential to become recognised through exhibiting their work regularly. This year’s Spring exhibition will also include three new guest artists: David Melrose, Kevin Williams and Lorna Nimmo.

Whether you’re interested in art produced by local people or art in general, the Worple Art Group Exhibitions are a great way to liaise with local people and continue to celebrate the many talents of people within our wonderful Merton community.
