On 29th April 2026, the Wimbledon Community Association (‘Wimblecomm’) held a Hustings ahead of the Merton Council local elections on 7th May.
Thank you to everyone who attended the event, and for the respectful and orderly conduct maintained throughout the evening, which helped to ensure a constructive experience for all involved.
Thank you to the spokespersons from each of the five parties for giving their time and engaging in a constructive Q&A on the topics that matter most to our community:
- Conservatives – Daniel Holden
- Green Party – Pippa Maslin
- Labour Party – Ross Garrod
- Liberal Democrats – Anthony Fairclough
- Reform UK – Ed Gretton
A huge thank you also to Louise Hanson from the Law Society for facilitating.
This well-attended event was held at the new Citizen Hub Wimbledon @The Shed, 267 The Broadway SW19 1SD. We would like to thank the team at The Shed for their kind hospitality on the night and their support in preparing this fantastic venue for the event.
We would also like to thank members of the public who submitted questions in advance of the evening. Those questions were carefully reviewed by our facilitator, who summarised and presented them to the party representatives during the hustings to form the Q&A discussion.
