About Us

Wimbledon Film Club is a welcoming, award-winning local club, screening at the Curzon Wimbledon cinema, close to Wimbledon Station. You can watch films in a comfortable setting, discuss them with fellow club members in the Curzon bar afterwards, listen to and quiz the many guest speakers we arrange, and suggest films for our programme. If you are a fan of cinema and looking for a like-minded community in the area – we’re it.

: Our Activities

Non-members are always welcome, but if you become a member you will get a range of benefits as well as heavily discounted tickets. Wimbledon Film Club is a registered charity run for the whole community by a committee of unpaid volunteers. As part of our charitable, educational purpose, we offer free membership for under-30s and full-time students. We are a member of Cinema for All, the national network of film societies.
Screenings are on selected Tuesday evenings from September to June or July. See our homepage (wimbledonfilmclub.co.uk) for details on the current programme. Doors open at 8pm and films start at 8.30pm (there are no adverts and we will only show a trailer for our next screening). We provide film notes on the night and regularly organise guest speakers, including film directors, producers and actors.
