Musicians and Singers from Morden Baptist Church came together – from their homes – to produce an ambitious song – bringing joy to the people of Morden and beyond. “Look Up Child” – originally by Lauren Daigle, encourages the listener to see beyond the struggles of today to a brighter future.

Co-leader of Morden Baptist (MBC) Darren Powell said “We’re proud of our talented and committed musicians who have worked so hard to help our church to stay connected during this difficult time. They are such a blessing to us and we hope that this is heard far and wide to bring joy to many others too!”

The offer went out at the end of June to musicians in the worship team to contribute however they wanted, to make the song come to fruition and many bravely did.

Around the world community groups have found creative ways to come together during this isolating time. “Our collaborative contribution hopes to bring hope”, echoed John Merriman, the song’s producer. “Coming out of lockdown, for many, things won’t be as they were, and the future often looks tough. I hope the listener will smile again as they hear this”
