To celebrate our charity’s 75th anniversary this year, 75 Stories will explore how the Wimbledon Community Association has helped connect people, places, and passions across Merton since it was founded in 1946. With community being at the heart of everything we do, we need the community to help us tell this story, so we invite you all to get in touch and look forward to receiving your submissions.
See our flyer below for more information, and then check out the following tips to help you create your story.

Your story can be shared in a variety of formats ranging from pictures to video, to audio, or written. If your desired format has not been mentioned, get in touch and we can discuss how to best share your story. Please see requirements for each submission below.
Videos
– To be a maximum of 2 minutes long. If any longer, we can discuss having an extended version or editing further.
– If filming on a smartphone device, we suggest turning the screen sideways before recording so that your video is landscape (horizontal) and takes up the full screen when uploaded.
– Please email your video file to seventyfivestories@wimbledoncommunity.org so that we can download the original file and upload to our YouTube channel for sharing.
Audio
– To be a maximum of 2 minutes long. If any longer, we can discuss having an extended version or editing further.
– Try to minimise background noise by recording in a quiet location.
– Think of some images that could accompany your story when we publish it, and we will help to source them.
– Please email your audio file to seventyfivestories@wimbledoncommunity.org so that we can download the original file, do final edits, and publish.
Pictures
– To be accompanied by a sentence or two about what is happening in the picture(s.)
– Please email your pictures to seventyfivestories@wimbledoncommunity.org so that we can download the original file(s,) and publish.
– If you cannot email the pictures, email us so that we can help find a way.
Written
– To be no longer than 1,500 words.
– Please email your written entries/articles to seventyfivestories@wimbledoncommunity.org so that we can review and publish accordingly.
By submitting your story to us, you give Wimbledon Community Association permission to upload and share your story on Wimblecomm and the charity’s promotional channels. You must also ensure that you have permission and informed consent to share anything that you submit.
Upon receipt of your submission, we will review, and then come back to you with a final version before publishing.
